Mechanism of Action
How HGH 191aa Works
HGH 191aa is structurally and functionally identical to endogenous pituitary growth hormone. Upon binding to the GH receptor (GHR), it triggers dimerization and activation of JAK2 kinase, which phosphorylates STAT5 transcription factors. STAT5 then drives IGF-1 synthesis in liver and peripheral tissues β mediating most of GH's anabolic, lipolytic, and growth-promoting effects.
- Drives skeletal muscle hypertrophy via IGF-1R/PI3K/Akt
- Stimulates bone growth at epiphyseal plates
- Promotes protein synthesis in myocytes
- Mediates 70β90% of GH anabolic effects
- Direct transcription of IGF-1 and IGFBP-3
- Regulates hepatic metabolism and glucose homeostasis
- Controls lipolysis in adipose tissue
- STAT5b drives male-pattern gene expression
- Stimulates lipolysis in adipocytes via cAMP/PKA/HSL
- Promotes fatty acid oxidation for energy
- Counteracts insulin action on fat storage
- Drives anti-obesity metabolic profile
Binding of HGH to GHR causes receptor dimerization, which recruits and activates JAK2 tyrosine kinase. JAK2 phosphorylates STAT5a/b, which translocates to the nucleus and transcribes IGF-1, IGFBP-3, and growth-related genes. Peripheral IGF-1 then acts on muscle, bone, and metabolic tissue receptors for anabolic and lipolytic effects.

Decades of Clinical Use β GH Deficiency & Body Composition
Somatropin (the FDA-approved recombinant HGH) has been used clinically since 1985. Hundreds of controlled trials document effects on lean mass accrual, fat reduction, and metabolic parameters in GH-deficient adults. Research-grade 191aa is structurally identical.

Safety Profile
Research Safety Notes
- Well-established safety profile from decades of clinical use as Somatropin
- Primary adverse effects: fluid retention, carpal tunnel, joint pain at high doses
- Insulin resistance possible at supraphysiological doses β monitor glucose
- Contraindicated in active malignancy β GH is mitogenic via IGF-1 signaling
- Pituitary feedback suppression with chronic exogenous GH administration
HGH 191aa research compound is structurally identical to Somatropin but intended for laboratory research only. Clinical data cited relates to FDA-approved Somatropin use in GH-deficient patients.
